policy

cancellation

A full refund will be given if cancelled at least 14 days prior to arrival. Cancellations made 13 days prior to arrival will receive a refund of ½ the pre-tax amount.  There are no refunds for cancellations made less than 3 days prior to arrival.  No refunds for early departures.  No credits will be given towards future stays. Group contracts state their own cancellation terms.

reservation payment

Half of the pre-tax amount is required with a valid credit card at the time the reservation is made. We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express. 

tax

Reservation rates do not include the local sales tax, currently 4.895% 

check-in/check-out

Check-in time begins at 4:00 pm. Upon check-in you’ll be asked to fill out any necessary paperwork and consent to our Guest Policies.

Check-out time is 11:00 am. The entire 5-hour window between check-out and check-in is needed to adequately clean and prepare the unit for the next guest. Out of respect for our housekeeping staff and newly arriving guests we ask that you adhere to our arrival/departure times. If you fail to be out by 11:00 am without prior approval charges will be applied for late check-out at $25 per hour until Noon; after Noon another day rental charge will be applied. Special arrangements must be made ahead of time to be sure that a longer stay will not pose a problem. Please understand this is not meant to be an inconvenience, but to ensure that everyone has the same opportunity to enjoy their stay at Stone Mountain Lodge. 

lodging substitution

Stone Mountain Lodge reserves the right to substitute a room or cabin of similar or greater value than specified in the guest’s reservation should the situation require it.

 

pets

Pets are allowed in our pet friendly units only. No more than 2 pets are allowed in units, 12, 14,15,16 and Cabin 18. Pets must always be on a leash – NO EXCEPTION.  Any pet that is not on a leash will be subject to a $50/fine at the time of checkout.  The owner who is signing acknowledges this charge. Pets are only allowed by the picnic area behind the bushes as well as on the trail.  Pets may be walked around the pond; however, are not to interfere with any events or wildlife. Dogs are not allowed to be on the maintained grassy areas.  Areas included are behind the office, between the cabins, as well as near the parking area.  In addition, for no reason at all are pets allowed to be in the ceremony or garden area UNLESS they are in the wedding. During your stay, housekeeping will not be allowed to enter your room.  If you need additional items, you must come to the front desk. Pets may not be left alone.  If an animal is alone and has excessive barking, Stone Mountain Lodge & Cabins reserves the right to contact Animal Control.  Stone Mountain Lodge  & Cabins will not put any staff member at risk by trying to calm an animal as well as have a barking dog interfere with any guest experience. You must clean up after your pet.  If any guest or staff member see a pet mess that is not taken care of, Stone Mountain Lodge has the right to charge a cleaning fee of $10/pile. If an animal ruins anything inside or outside of the room, the owner will be held for replacement costs of items including labor (if needed).  Please be mindful of blinds, screens, and white comforters.

An additional cleaning fee of $500 will be charged to any guest who violates this policy. Definition of a Service Animal: Per Colorado House Bill 16-1426, Secti on 1 (b), “The term ‘service animal’ has a distinct meaning in the law. A service animal means a dog or miniature horse trained to do work or perform tasks for the benefit of an individual with a disability and whose work or task is directly related to the individual’s disability. Under the law, the provision of emotional support, well-being, comfort, or companionship does not constitute the work or tasks of a service animal.”  

smoking

All of our rooms, cabins, and tents are 100% non-smoking (this includes tobacco and marijuana). Any violation of the smoking policy indoors will be charged a $250 additional Cleaning Fee to remove smoke odors from the unit and/or linens. 

respecting our events

A portion of the Stone Mountain Lodge property is designated as a wedding and special event venue. Although there is a separation of the hotel grounds and wedding event grounds, we ask that you please be respectful of private events, stay within the hotel designated areas, and be mindful of your noise level. Quiet hours begin at 10:00 pm in respect of our neighbors – if refunds are requested because of the noise level of your party, you may be responsible for the amount refunded.

parking

There will be plenty of parking for at Stone Mountain for both events and lodging. At least one parking space for each unit.

items left behind

Stone Mountain shall not be liable or responsible for personal items left behind, lost or stolen. If you leave an item after checking out and wish to have it returned, call Stone Mountain as soon as possible and we will arrange for shipment. We will inform you of the shipping cost and with your approval charge the credit card on file to cover the expense.

damage

While accidents do happen, registered guests will be held financially responsible for all damages to the property or missing items discovered during their stay and/or immediately upon departure.

mobility

Each of our hotel rooms and cabins offers a unique arrangement for sleeping, eating and relaxing. Some cabins have a queen-size bed on the main level plus a sleeping loft accessible by a ladder or stairs. Others do not have lofts. Be sure to check our website for a detailed description of each unit. Please note that our cabins are not wheelchair accessible. By consenting to these terms, you agree that you accept the conditions in the unit that you are reserving.

wait list

If there is no availability for your requested date we may take your contact information for our waitlist. If a unit becomes available before the arrival date, we will work through the list to see if wait listed guests would like to complete their reservation. We may include a response time limit, after which we will call another guest from the wait list.
